What is the purpose of this role in the delivery of our mission?

The Product team sits at the heart of all Orbital products. The scope of the team is wide, and involves deep involvement in driving change delivery for internal and client facing features and products, often innovating solutions from scratch.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Operations Manager with a strong background working with software development teams. As a Product Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and evolution of our blockchain and traditional payment products, ensuring they meet the needs of our clients while aligning with our strategic business objectives.

What are the key responsibilities / activities of the role?

• Collaborate with tech leads and UX designers and engage in technical discussions to develop successful solutions, ensuring that at all times, the development team has clarity about the problems they are solving and why.

• Strong problem solving skills, as the role will place you at the heart of a wide range of business problems.

• Collaborate with the CPO, Head of Product and Product Managers to define product strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and enables transparent product prioritisation.

• Enabler for product discovery, go to market as well as other product operations processes that ensure the smooth delivery of value adding features.

• Help to scope and set team objectives that enable better decisions and improve outcomes, translating the product strategy into long-term initiatives.

What are the essential skills, qualifications and experience required for the role?

• 1+ years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on B2B SaaS products and collaboration with product designers and software developers to deliver features following agile methodology.

• 1+ years of experience working on technical products within the fintech industry, ideally with exposure to crypto and e-commerce products.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and internal business stakeholders and collaborators such as Finance, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Marketing and Information Security.

• Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, early-stage environment where it is common to develop and launch products from scratch.

• Bias for data driven decision making, with knowledge of working with data analytics tools to generate own insights and implement success metrics.

What are the desirable skills, qualifications and experience that would be beneficial for the role?

• Familiarity with cryptocurrencies, decentralized finance (DeFi), and blockchain technology is a plus.

• Desire to develop into a product manager for one of our products.

• Skilled in managing stakeholders and prioritising features and enhancements based on business value, customer impact and strategic goals.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, market conditions, and customer feedback.

• Effective problem-solving skills.

• Experience with implementing changes in a startup environment.

• Intermediate at SQL.

• Proficient at product discovery, documentation and agile development via tools such as Jira, Confluence.
